Wednesday Morning Silver and Gold Update for 9/5/12....Peter R....Southern Trust Metals, Inc.

Good morning everyone,

Traders are cautious, paring back positions lightly as we approach tomorrow's European Central Bank (ECB) interest rate decision and the possible unveiling of quantitative easing....All eyes will be on Mario Draghi's post decision comments....The recent flurry of weaker than expected global economic data suggests QE is close at hand....

In late morning European metals activity we find prices a tad lower with Silver off 21 cents to $32.11......Gold is down $4.00 to $169.00 per ounce.....Palladium sits at $641.00 off $2.00.....Platinum is $7.00 lower and changing hands at $1564.00......

In the currency markets the Euro is a shade lower as traders make 11th hour adjustments to their holdings in advance of Thursday's ECB decision....Last trade $1.2546 off 19/100ths of U.S. cent.....

Meawhile; Oil is flat to slightly lower on the back of a firmer U.S. dollar.....Last trade $95.13 off 17 cents per barrel.....

In global stock market activity, Asian markets closed with losses of 1% to 1.5%....European markets are flat to down 0.5%......Early indications in New York call for a decline of 21 Dow points at the open....Yesterday the Dow ended the day with a loss of 55 points.....

So; with all eyes remaining focused on the pending European monetary policy decisions, and just as important; Friday's U.S. employment data, that's it.....Have a good morning......
