Bobolink WILL indeed be at Lincoln Center tomorrow(Thu) and Union Square (Fri)
We have just received word that the city will indeed permit us to come to our city
markets tomorrow!
We will be there, although maybe not as early as usual, if the traffic is again
a mess. We're bringing some lovely cheeses, including our Jean-Louis Blue!
There will be limited bread available: we are running on generator power, and we
did the best we could! The bread will no doubt sell out early, so please shop
as early as possible (but not before, say, 9!)

Bobolink and the White Family have weathered the storm will minimal problems: a
downed rain gutter, a few downed trees in unremarkable locations, and that's about
it. All in all, we got off pretty easy! When the winds were howling like banshees
on Monday night, it was really nice to be in a stone house that has already survived
188 hurricane season!
We appreciate all of the well wishes and good vibes that were sent to us, and we
have passed those vibes on to our less fortunate neighbors.
It was really nice, in the midst of all the churlish, hateful and devisive politics
in this country, to see people pitching in and helping each other out, the way people
ought to!

It's Braised Beef Weather again!
We have open stock at the farm store of the following:
Beef:
ground
stew cubes
Shin for braising (think osso bucco on a grand scale!)
chuck roasts
short rib
Veal:
chops
boneless roasts
cutlets
ground
blanquette (large chunks of boneless breast for braising)
ribs
Pork: we have smoked neck bones for split pea soup, and trotters, ears, kidneys,
hearts and livers for sale. Chops, roasts, etc. coming in November.

Come to the farm!
The weather is cool and mild, the air is crisp, the grass is going strong, and the
leaf-peeping crowds haven't descended yet, so it is a perfect time to come out to
the farm for a visit!
We're open Sat-Sun 9-5, with guided tours at 2 pm each day. Tour or not, you are
welcome to taste all of our cheeses and breads, and visit with Bridgid and Bear,
our two Blue Heeler canine hosts.
Early risers who arrive between 9 and 10 can get a look at the milking herd as
they wait to be milked, without having to climb the hill with the tour.
All this, just 70 minutes from the Holland Tunnel, or 90 minutes from Philadelphia.
You can make a day of it, by also picking apples at one of the several local pick-your-own
orchards, and having lunch or dinner at one of our local treasures, the Ship Inn
