Good morning Andrew,
Precious metals are trading a shade higher on this post Thanksgiving holiday morning as better than expected German economic data, and some positive comments out of the Greek bailout meeting sent the Euro higher against the Dollar....The weaker Greenback has traders bidding up metals in light trading....Silver is 10 cents higher at $33.44......Gold is up $6.00 at $1734.00.....Palladium is changing hands at $660.00 up $7.00 per ounce.....Platinum is $1587.00 up $3.00......Meanwhile the Euro currency sits at $1.2904 up another 27/100ths of a cent against the Dollar....
In the energy markets the price of Oil is marginally lower as the fragile Middle East cease fire between Israel and Hamas seems to be holding.....Last on Crude $87.13 down 25 cents per barrel....
The positive sentiment is having limited effect on U.S. stock trading where Dow futures are indicating a 19 point gain at the open.....Participation will be limited as many U.S. traders have extended their holiday to make it a long weekend.....U.S. stock market trading will close early ........In Europe stocks are mixed in light trading with the major indexes plus to minus 0.5%.....That's it......
