Unified Communications and Collaboration Growing in Mexico

Unified Communications (News - Alert) marches on, with a boost in awareness and popularity from Mexican enterprises. With increased sales of IP telephony, IP phones, and videconferencing solutions, the UC&C market there is set to expand rapidly, according to new analysis from Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert).


The Frost & Sullivan analysis, “Reality Check on Key Mexican Unified Communications and Collaboration Solutions Markets,” found that the UC&C market in Mexico has earned revenue of well over $272 million in 2011, which it estimates will hit over $478 million by 2018. Needless to say, this is an impressive profit, but given the convenience and use of unified communications, it makes sense.


As many legacy systems are near the end of their lives, companies in Mexico are beginning to move to IP-based environments. This is the realm of unified communications and collaboration, which drives many of the companies to invest in UC&C solutions.
