Kept In the Dark: 99% of All USA Residents

Practically no one in America knows about this story. It involves two maverick scientists from England... a "miracle " material that sounds like it's from outer space... and a small Midwestern company about to render $357 billion in big-name electronics obsolete. If you get the scoop before the rest, you'll be well positioned to make a killing. Here's what your neighbors likely don't know.

Is it a Good Time to Invest in Stocks?

More than 2,000 years ago, the Greek sage and philosopher Epictetus counseled, "It is impossible for anyone to begin to learn what he thinks he already knows."

Nowhere is this truer than in the stock market. You need only ask the many thousands of investors who have sat out an historic rally - the market has doubled from its lows years ago - because they just knew stock prices were only going to go lower.

Ignore the Smartest Guys in the Room, All 8,600 of Them

Everyone loves the long ball. Home runs are exciting.

Sammy Sosa and Mark McGwire's steroid-fueled race in 1998 brought baseball back from the damage caused by the players' strike a few years earlier.

Tony Gwynn's hitting singles and doubles en route to a .368 batting average in 1995 didn't excite anyone... While fans respect the hitters who get on base, they buy tickets to see someone smack the ball over the fence.

Healthcare investors are often the same way...

Sell Gold, Buy This...

No question, gold has had a nice run.

It's been up 12 consecutive years. And during this period, gold prices are up around 500%. This is probably why in 2012, 84% of new cash invested in commodities went into gold funds.

But these investors would have done far better if they had invested in another commodity that we use every day. One that beat gold by 567% in 2012.

While gold was up 6.6% last year... this commodity was up 37.4%. And its future prices were up 49%...

The Top 4 Tech Stocks for 2013

by David Eller
Senior Analyst, Investment U

There are so many great cutting-edge technology companies and hopes for the next 12 months that it's easy to lose your discipline and let greed take over.

Here at Investment U, we prefer to follow tangible earnings growth rather than speculation. So for today's forecast I looked through more established companies, with real assets, and at least one stable earnings stream in addition to a good case for growth. In short, if the growth story doesn't work out as quickly as Wall Street expects, you won't end up holding an empty bag.

After diligent research, I see the following four tech companies as standouts for safe outperformance in 2013...
