Note from Pat Carrington   I find this opening moment of the Tapping World Summit a real surprise. It is not just the fact that a well-known publisher and author, Louise Hay, endorses tapping that impresses me. After all, she specializes in self-help and alternative techniques and has created the most successful alternative publishing house in the world, so she obviously knows the value of a method such as Tapping. My reason for responding so positively to her interview is that I find it immensely encouraging to see such a prominent figure be able to be her real self and emotionally vulnerable before thousands of viewers. If all goes well, we grow and change and become more authentic day by day and year by year. Our need to confront old hidden pains and imperfections in ourselves and put them to rest never ends. In that way we become more and more our authentic ourselves. I emphasize this because I have found this same need occurring in myself. Recently I was a guest on EFT specialist Karin Davidson's radio show. This was an extremely meaningful experience for me and I believe for many who listened to her broadcast. It was because I was able to share with an entire unknown audience a live therapy session in which I was the client, working with a very sensitive subject in my life. I felt so close to the listeners as I did so, and I am sure Louise Hay felt the same way as she confided in Nick Ortner, Founder and Producer of the Tapping World Summit, as he interviewed her. This human need to keep changing and growing is why I'm recommending that you watch this video if you want encouragment to be yourself above all other things. In it you will see Louise share a traumatic incident from when she was five years old, when her stepfather was holding her head under the water, and see how deeply it is affecting her 81 years later.
