It is valuable information - and I wish I had this blog post when I was starting. Email me if you have ANY questions about basics or anything more advanced. I'm happy to help my mailing group! I don't offer a one-on-one dialogue with the readers of the blog. In addition to what I outlined on the blog post I want to give you a few more ideas that I didn't cover:
www.Bodis.com if you don't know about this parking service, it's a great one for traffic that you can't seem to monetize anywhere. I have used them for non USA traffic and they pay very quickly.
Another tip: DO NOT buy traffic or forward one domain to another one when parking... this will get you banned or your payout will be VERY LOW.
Tip 3: I found most of my traffic names (when starting out) on GoDaddy auctions, NameJet and SnapNames. Try those places first. BE CAREFUL - traffic stats can sometimes be manipulated.
I try to buy names with TYPE IN traffic or names that have traffic because of alot of links on other websites.
One more: Parking will KILL any Google rankings a domain has. If you buy a name with ANY decent Google position, do not park it (if you want to keep the Google rankings). I'd suggest www.DomainApps.com for easy development or install WordPress and start writing articles. As stated in the article, BlueHost.com has an easy WordPress installer.
