Infonetics Research recently released its year-end and fourth quarter 2012 Enterprise Routers market share and forecast report, which predicts a strong 2013 compared to 2012, as companies shift toward branch and mod-range routers. This shift will be driven largely by the rise in cloud services adoption, along with general economic growth.

Mar del Plata is Argentina's seventh largest city with a population of over 600,000 and a sophisticated tourist infrastructure. Keen to build a significant information technology industry, officials of the municipality of Mar del Plata wanted to create a digital city that would serve both the government and the people.

More than 3,000 channel partners are expected to converge at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, currently underway at The Venetian & Sands Expo. Vocalocity, a provider of hosted VoiP systems for small and mid-sized businesses, will use the event to announce changes to its channel program.

Patton Electronics is currently debuting two new technology products, SmartNode 10K and BODi bandwidth-on-demand Internet routers, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week. Both technologies are geared toward wireless carrier-providers, and will provide fixed-mobile convergence and cloud-based services for businesses, institutions, transportation and M2M applications.

TP-LINK is improving its routers to ensure compliance with IPv6. The company has announced a family of networking products that comply with IPv6 by default or through firmware upgrades. This is a significant move as all IPv4 addresses are exhausted, and it has become important to support the new protocol - IPv6 - to address the growth of IP address users.
