| Who Needs Fiction? We Got Drama Here
I am a stock geek. My eyes are glued to my computer screen watching Lord knows how many stocks trade from morning through midday until trading ends at 4:00 PM. Sometimes I monitor after-market trading activity as well.
Others do it as well. I know years ago a close family member had to literally wean himself away from CNBC and his computer screen. He was obsessed with knowing the price and value of his holdings, fearing that there would be a big drop in the middle of the day and he would be left with big losses.
While I do not retain that fear, I not only monitor and watch trading activity to discern trends and rotation but for the pure amusement of it, even if I am not vested or invested in a given security. From time to time, such crazy things happen in the market that it leaves me wondering why people feel compelled to watch drama or read fiction. There is so much that happens in real (financial) life every day that it is both educational and entertaining.

Believe me, these events typically result in a deleterious effect on equities in the industry segment in question.
Perhaps it is fitting that we have discovered a company that not only benefits from a governmental agency flexing its muscle, but practically has the agency to thank for its huge sales growth.
