FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ericsson to Present Keynote at WebRTC Conference & Expo

Economics, business strategies focus of discussion at premier web real-time communications
event June 25- 27 in Atlanta

Norwalk, CT – April 24, 2013 – TMC, Systemwide Media and PKE Consulting have announced that Ericsson’s Geoff Hollingworth will deliver a keynote address at WebRTC Conference and Expo, to be held June 25 - 27, 2013, at Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Georgia. Hollingworth, Head of Business Innovation, Silicon Valley, for Ericsson, will present the session on Wednesday, June 26, at 9:15 a.m.

WebRTC Conference and Expo is the premier event for enterprises, service providers, web providers, investors and developers. Participants will explore how WebRTC (Web-based real-time communications) is poised to revolutionize the way we communicate by enabling true browser-to-browser communications.

“With WebRTC, technology is interesting but business models are transformational,” Hollingworth said. “I’m looking forward to presenting at the WebRTC Conference and Expo, and sharing my thoughts on this dynamic market segment.”

Hollingworth’s keynote, titled “It’s the Economy, Stupid!” will focus on WebRTC as the democratization of communication. By the end of 2016, there will be 3 billion WebRTC-capable devices, and 1 billion individual users of WebRTC. By the end of 2013, 50 percent of PCs will have WebRTC-capable browsers, according to research from Disruptive Analysis. The global telecom market is worth approximately $2 trillion. To a large degree, monies have been difficult to extract from the outside since the ecosystem has been closed and the barriers to entry through complexity have been high.

WebRTC changes all of this and is the democratization of communication in the same way as web pages democratized IT. Hollingworth will discuss what this means for both carriers and new entrants, and give examples of some of the most innovative approaches that are currently developing.

“We are pleased to welcome Geoff Hollingworth and Ericsson,” said Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMC. “Geoff has been passionate about WebRTC since its early stages and we look forward to hearing his thoughts on strategies for success in this growing market.”
