| Artist of the Month Ahmad Jamal
Ahmad Jamal is a jazz pianist hailing from  Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has had a remarkable career both as performer, composer, and teacher of Jazz music. Jamal is well known in Jazz circles as a leading innovator in the realm of "Cool Jazz." He has won multiple awards and has been inducted into many prestigious Jazz circles throughout his career. His latest album is Blue Moon, which he finished in 2012 and for which he received a nomination for Best Jazz Instrumental Album of 2012. His music will be featured throughout the month of May here at WICN.
