Q: Are there any facility changes in your company?
Yes. As more and more orders were placed, we realized how much waste was created in moving orders into the delivery trucks day after day. Orders had to be shrink wrapped, placed on pallets, and then driven with forklift trucks. It was an unnecessary amount of plastic used and gas burned from the forklifts. So we opted for a new method of packing. We installed conveyor system that uses very little electricity to operate. It's not very glamorous, but it eliminates the waste from shrink wrapping and causes less harm to the environment.
2. How would you describe the changes you have seen?
We believe environmental responsibilities are still important to a business, and we do our best everyday. All of our used paper and cardboard boxes are recycled weekly, and we are currently looking into installing solar panels to help offset the power usage for our warehouse.
3. What's your next big project?
Seeing the importance on going green to avoid polluting our environment, our next project would to start carrying "green" products within our inventory of fabric bolts and tablecloths. The material will be in spun fabric, non-woven; it can be disposable, recycled.
4. Tell us about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in this company.
I am mostly proud of my employees. Everyone working here gets along very well and created a friendly and fun working environment. We are like a big family. This is the greatest accomplish I've ever made.
5. How would you describe Ya Ya Creations overall future direction?

With our business success, we have not forgotten our philanthropic responsibilities and to give a helping hand to the less fortunate.
