Learn How to Use Test Virtualization to Lower Capex

Communications Service Providers (CSPs) and Network Equipment Providers (NEPs) must employ quality control to effectively release new services that are meeting customer needs and business objectives. However communication services have become so complex, that it’s difficult to effectively test new services effectively without raising capital expenditures.

Test Virtualization can help CSPs and NEPs keep capital expenditures down by allowing the testing of complex services early in the development cycle, reducing overall costs and time to market, and improving quality.

In this webcast Moshe Cohen, Offering Manager for IBM Rational Quality Management Solutions; Scott Niemann, Telecommunications Marketing Manager for IBM Rational, and will demonstrate
  • How NEPs can take advantage of service virtualization
  • How CSPs can apply service virtualization for B/OSS
Moshe Cohen works closely with customers in both IT and Embedded Systems. He previously worked
Moshen Cohen
with Telelogic, defining and driving its Model-Driven Testing solutions. Cohen has extensive
experience in the specification, development and testing of C3I applications, including firsthand
experience with new tools, methods and technology adoption. Moshe received his electrical
engineering degree in 1980 and his MSc in mathematics and computer science in 1986, both
with honors from Beer-Sheva University in Israel.

Scott Niemann has been working in communications for 15 years, first as an embedded software

engineer working on mobile devices, and later as an industry marketing manager at Telelogic.
At IBM, Niemann plans the market activities around IBM Rational's solutions targeting the
Communications space. He has a master’s in computer science from the Illinois Institute of
Technology and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Wisconsin.
