Dear Indiana,
Whether or not you have visited a national park, there is one thing that we should all be able to agree on: national parks and the public lands that surround them are one of the things that makes this country great, something to admire, something that unites us.
Stories and pictures from fellow staff and volunteers, followers on social media and supporters have been pouring in, reinforcing the point that we all have a very real connection to our public land, and want to protect it from fracking.
Food & Water Watch put together this photo album so that you can see all of the pictures that have been coming in, share them and even comment with a picture or story of your own about the places you want to protect from fracking.
I know that when I look through this photo album on Facebook, I'm overwhelmed by the beauty. One image might invoke a memory, another has me wondering about all the people throughout history who have been there, and another image has me starting to plan my next trip. But then I remember that, if we lose this fight, these places will never be the same. Will you share this album with your friends and ask them to take action to protect these special places?
Once a place is fracked, it is forever changed. For this campaign, we're also working with our friends at the Post Carbon Institute, who have gathered some astounding photos of fracking that's already happening on public lands.
