USYF To Hold Futsal ID Programs in Akron, OH and Boston, MA

 USYF ANNOUNCES TWO FUTSAL ID CAMPS

The goal of FUTSAL I.D is to identify youth players that have the potential to develop their Futsal skills at an elite level in order to build the US Youth Futsal National Teams program.
 
A select group of youth Futsal players will be invited to participate based upon their coaches recommendations. Each FUTSAL I.D. camp will provide participants with Futsal specific trainings and competition, conducted by international level coaches.  Participating players are continuely assessed during the event by the technical staff.
 

The first FUTSAL ID Camp was held in March with 75 players from across the county attending.  USYF will hold two more camps in Akron, OH from Friday 9/27/2013 to Sunday 9/29/2013 and Norwood, MA, Friday 10/18/2013 to Sunday 10/20/2013

The camps will focus on youth boys and girls.

Futsal I.D. Staff

US Futsal National Team Coach – Keith Tozer

U.S. National Futsal Team – Named head coach of the team in 1996.  Guided the U.S. team to its first-ever gold medal in the CONCACAF Regional Championships in Guatemala.  Promoted to head coach in 1998 and finished third in Mundialito de Futsal in Brasil, the best finish by an American team ever.   In the summer of 2000, led the team to win the bronze medal at the CONCACAF Championships in Costa Rica. In 2004 led team to a gold medal at the CONCACAF Championship with a 2-0 victory over Cuba, earning the team a spot at the 2004 FIFA Futsal World Championships in Chinese Taipei.  Coach of the first U.S. Futsal team in the Pan American Games in Brasil in July 2007.   Again led team to FIFA Futsal World Cup in 2008 after at third-place finish at CONCACAF Championships.

US Futsal National Team Goalkeeper Coach – Mark Litton

Mark was hired in 2008 by the US Futsal National team as their goalkeeper coach and accompanied the team to the 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Rio de Janiero, Brasil. In 2012, he helped the US Futsal National team prepare for the 2012 CONCACAF qualifiers in Costa Rica.

Cost:  $150 includes FUTSAL I.D. Training sessions and instruction. All players will receive a training shirt at registration
Registration: If you are interested in participating in the FUTSAL ID Training Camp, please have your Club Director or Team Coach fill out the recommendation form found on the FUTSAL ID event pages All players will be selected and notified of acceptance by the US Youth Futsal Technical Committee.  Please understand that these recommendations are to be taken very seriously. 
Accomodations:  All players traveling to the sites are required to make hotel arrangements through GameTime Travel.  Parents should plan on traveling and transporting players to and from the training facility.
Transportation:  Players are required to have their own transportation

USYF, is the largest national Futsal organization sanctioned by US Soccer.  Launched in 2004, USYF offers amateur soccer players an opportunity to play organized futsal in local leagues.  It does so by supporting entrepreneurial-minded soccer organizers with hands on guidance in building their leagues.  USYF has league throughout the U.S.

In addition to local leagues, USYF holds regional qualifying tournaments and also has the largest national youth futsal tournament in the country.  The US Futsal Natioanl Champiosnhip Futsal will be held in Kansas City on February 15 - 18, 2013  For more information, go to www.usfutsalnationals.com

USSSA is a non-profit organization whose mission is to develop and expand the game of soccer in the United States.  USSSA has been an affiliate of US Soccer since 2001.

USSSA registers, sanctions and provides risk management products for clubs, leagues, academies and players
