USYF ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF A NEW LEAGUE IN CHICAGO, IL  USYF, the fastest growing futsal organization in the United States, has added a new league.   Chicago Futsal Northwest will begin operations in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL.  Oscar Albuquerque plans on having a winter leagues starting in January 2014 for boys and girls. For more information, go to  www.chicagofutsalnorthwest.com Oscar Albuquerque has had a long career as a soccer player and coach. In 1979-80 he was voted Athlete of the Year at Laurentian University. Albuquerque went on to play 16 years in the NASL, MISL, AISA, and represented the Canadian national team. After his playing career Oscar went into coaching. His coaching career has ranged from youth soccer all the way to the professional level. "Through my playing career futsal helped me become a technical and successful player. I believe futsal is a great contributor to the technical development of players. I felt it was important in to start Chicago Futsal Northwest; where young players have the opportunity to develop the technical part of the game." "Oscar and his league are tremendous assets to the expanding network of our futsal leagues around the country", said USYF co-founder and Executive Director, Jon Parry.  "His background as a soccer player, connections with the local soccer market and entrepreneurial spirit make for a solid foundation to building a successful futsal league.  His passion for the game of futsal makes him a great fit as he works with the soccer coaches and players of Chicago, Il. "Oscar is the kind of person who we seek to operate one of our leagues.  He loves the game of futsal and will work hard to develop the sport in his area.   In working with Oscar, I know he will run high – quality futsal events," says John Sciore, USYF Director of Development.
