They've been "cooking it up" between them for a long time, and they've finally revealed the menu for the Civil Life Beer Dinner at Harvest - scheduled for Monday, December 23rd. Chef Nick and Jake over at Civil Life Brewery are pretty excited to be bringing these pairings to you, and just in time for that pre-holiday get together you've been saying you're going to do, but haven't scheduled yet. Or maybe it's just in time to be the perfect wind-down from all the last minute shopping. Or maybe it's just in time to be the perfect way to spend a Monday evening - any Monday evening. But yes, we'll be offering a four-course pre fixe dinner at $65 per person and yes, it will be something you'll never forget!      THE PERFECT WAY TO SHARE THE JOY! (A portion of the sale of every one of these beautiful appetizers is donated to Food Outreach) One of the things we love about what we do is our ability to combine comfort food and a comfortable atmosphere with elegant presentation and service. There is perhaps no dish that embodies both of these elements like the "Beggar's Purse." Traditionally, the Beggar's Purse is a mini crêpe topped with caviar or other rich filling and tied to resemble a purse.  Our version of this beautiful dish contains a rich and hearty Oxtail Stew, and is served as an easy-to-share Starter Plate. Not only will you have the fun of "unwrapping" this delicious packet of goodness at your table, but we'll also gift a portion of the sale of each Oxtail Beggar's Purseto Food Outreach. Food Outreach has served the St. Louis region for over 25 years.
