Deep-State America — Who Really Runs the United States?

The Sovereign Investor

The Deep-State Cabal

Dear Sovereign Investor,

There's a creeping awareness that a malevolent cabal is behind most government programs and agencies and that our elected representatives are hopelessly out of the loop.

Most recently, we've seen our elected officials caught flat-footed as revelation after revelation about the NSA's flaunting of personal-privacy laws came to light. Our legislators were not just unaware about the breach of U.S. citizens' privacy, they had no clue that major technology companies conspired to hand over private data to the U.S. government.

This week we learned, via former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, that military leaders took over war policy, basically shutting out the civilian control vital to our nation's safety and security.

The term "deep state" refers to a shadow government. In the U.S., it's said to run vital policies, programs and agencies.

Is this what's going on at the Department of Justice (DOJ)? Did the deep-state cabal stop the prosecutions of Wall Street firms that were ruining our economy — just to grease the revolving door for DOJ lawyers headed to Wall Street after their government stint?  This insidious practice among lawyers, analysts and regulators has been
commonplace for years.

As the deep-state revelations continue, it's vital that we hold governments accountable. We at The Sovereign Society are vigilant and are here to guide you through these trying times.

The 10 Cheapest Markets in the World
Evaldo Albuquerque sees the rally in U.S. stocks and suspects they are overpriced. But he has found incredible values in markets outside the U.S. While the U.S. stock market is trading at a Shiller price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of just over 26, Chinese stocks are trading at a Shiller P/E ratio of 15.2. Brazilian stocks are trading at a ratio below 10. The Chinese and Brazilian markets are both cheap, but not cheap enough to be in Shiller's top 10 cheapest markets. The Greatest Threat to Gold ... Could be the U.S. Government!
Americans holding gold are a prime target. With gold set to soar over $3,000, the Fed is itching to get ahold of it … Just like they did in 1933 when they confiscated $700 billion (in today's dollars) of gold from innocent Americans. Don't be a victim of this upcoming financial disaster … To protect yourself, click here.

ECB Plan Provides the Trade of the Year
Thomas Fischer, editor of Currency Cross Trader, finds the convergence of central bank policy the catalyst for the currency trade of the year. For the past two years, ECB President Mario Draghi has been doing what traders call "jawboning" — talking about growing the euro-zone economy, but not actually doing anything to make it stronger. All of that is about to change and investors are set to benefit. To see how to trade the trade of the year, click here.

From Baltimore, Maryland – "Those Who Turn a Blind Eye Will be Decimated"
The countdown to the great American reset has started. Three historic, unstoppable forces are bearing down on our economy, our markets … our very way of life. Their impact will be the spark that ignites an inferno that in turn will unleash a wave of creative destruction so powerful it will completely transform our economy. That's why we brought Harry S. Dent Jr. into the studio to interview him about what lies ahead and how he believes YOU can not only survive it, but prosper from it. This interview will broadcast on January 14. Turning Your Tech Addiction Into a Profit
Jeff Opdyke reveals undiscovered values in the personal-technology boom this week. This boom in always-on, always-connected personal technology is making our lives easier and more efficient — if not more distracted. Still, it is the future, and it will grow exponentially from here … which means demand will continue to explode for all the internal components that make today and tomorrow possible. And that's an opportunity. For more information, click here.

How Louis Made an Extra $57,000
For the past year, a small group of people have learned how to use Sigma to profit in the stock market. Louis Sanchez, for example, says he made $57,000. Fred Foster, a physician in Arizona, says: "I tripled my money. So, many thanks." And I've heard a man in Miami did well enough to turn $5,000 into $130,000 … all because of this secret. For more details on Sigma, and to learn how you can use it in the stock market … click here.

There Oughta be a Law — But Not 40,000 of 'Em
Every year, our liberty is reduced by tens of thousands of new laws, only a fraction of which originate in Congress. Do you know what your state or county government is up to? Bob Bauman writes on the impossibly high number of laws passed each year. To read more, click here.
