| The Rangers, by Ron Newcomb, is about a special force of elite warriors known as Rangers. What is a Ranger? Rangers are mysterious warriors who operate on the fringe of the kingdom of Olaran, using their unique set of wilderness skills to bring justice to the borderlands. The Rangers is set in a world of high fantasy, crafted in the same vein as Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Extensive roleplay backgrounds have been tapped into as well, to help produce an experience that offers the same intrigue and depth as Tolkien's own works, as well as that which George R. R. Martin achieved in A Game of Thrones and his A Song of Ice and Fire series.
