WICN is going to Cuba this fall, and you can come along!
Our "Jazzing In Cuba" trip begins in Miami on October 30 and we depart the next day for five days in Havana. Highlights of the trip will include the world famous Tropicana Show, Palace of the Revolution, the Old Havana Walking Tour, a trip to Papa Hemingway's Farm, as well as opportunities to experience Cuban Jazz, set up exclusively for this trip. Jazzing in Cuba is licensed through Premier World Discovery, and is a partnership between WICN and other leading U.S. jazz stations. You'll be traveling with jazz fans. |

His friends and musical collaborators celebrate the man's lifetime of invention. We feature pianist Renee Rosnes, vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson and Chris Potter to mark the late Joe Henderson's birthday. Soul Serenade: Tammi Terrell Monay, April 28, 7PM Join host Tom Shaker to celebrate the birthdate of one of Motown's most underrated artists. Folk Revival: Labor Songs For "May Day" Honoring a great folk music tradition of protest and topical songs about labor and unions. Inquiry: Leah Vincent And Carol Berkin Tonight on Inquiry we talk with writer and activist Leah Vincent about her harrowing memoir Cut Me Loose: Sin And Salvation After My Ultra-orthodox Childhood. This is a gripping and heart-wrenching account of Leah's long process of breaking away from her very strict and conservative religious background and becoming her own person.
