Stop Massive Expansion of U.S. Gas Exports

Dear Center Supporter, Communities across the country have been working hard to protect themselves from fracking, but Congress is now considering legislation that would seriously undermine those efforts. Bills have been introduced that would green-light exports of liquefied natural gas to all members of the World Trade Organization (that is, three quarters of the countries on Earth). More natural gas production in the United States means more fracking near our homes. Fracking blasts millions of gallons of water underground -- laced with chemicals that include known carcinogens -- to break up shale and release oil and gas. This poisons our air and water and prolongs our dependence on fossil fuels. Act now to tell Congress we refuse to sacrifice our health and environment to fossil fuel companies.
