Today, two monsters fight, although with so many heads and necks, it's easy to see how they might get a bit tangled. The Hydra, of Grecian fame, is a monstrous creature, capable of breathing poison so virulent that merely standing its track could be lethal. More importantly, severing the hydra's head caused it to grow two more. Its foe, though, is a serpent from the Far East that required the talents of a god to slay. The Yamato no Orochi is a serpent with 8 heads and 8 tails, and its vast size and ferocious temperament made it a creature without equal. In some myths, it's a beast of dark power, one only equaled by the god who slayed it with his cunning. Only one creature may live to leave the battlefield...
