FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: John Sciore, 314-604-4801, j.sciore@usyouthfutsal.com U.S. Youth Futsal Announces Leadership Summit Overland Park, Kan. (May 14, 2014) The second annual U.S. Youth Futsal Leadership Summit will take place June 12-14 in Milwaukee. The event convenes leaders of the sport from across the country and is centered around three U.S. Men's National Futsal Team activities. Summit attendees will take in two matches between the national futsal teams of the United States and France on June 12 and 14, and will also attend a training session on June 13. U.S. National Team Head Coach Keith Tozer will lead pre-game "chalk talk" sessions prior to each match, exclusively for U.S. Youth Futsal leaders. "I am extremely excited about the upcoming matches versus France as well as the U.S. Youth Futsal Leadership Summit," said Tozer, who also serves as U.S. Youth Futsal Technical Director. "This is a great time for the growth of futsal in the United States and to have all of the leaders of futsal here will be fantastic." Representatives of U.S. Youth Futsal leagues from across the country will attend sessions on topics including: coaching education, FUTSAL I.D., marketing, referees, running an academy program, social media and tournaments. John Sciore, U.S. Youth Futsal Director of Development, says that for a futsal enthusiast, the three-day convetion is not to be missed. "You have the most passionate, most knowledgable, most experienced, most successful leaders of futsal in one place," elaborated Sciore. "It is a great opportunity for someone already operating futsal programs or someone contemplating doing so to learn." U.S. Youth Futsal's president, Jon Parry, suggests that bringing leaders together to discuss the growth and future of futsal, paired with the national team events is a remarkable opportunity. "It is a futsal-specific leadership summit with multiple topics of interest on local, regional and national levels," Parry noted. "It is also important to see how futsal is played at the highest level. Anyone who is interested in the growth of futsal should attend." Leaders of leagues from California to New Hampshire to Florida have registered for the conference and Sciore, the Summit Chairman, says the event is going to be inspirational. |
