And in the case of Sierra Wireless, when it comes to M2M and the IoT, it makes the climb with partners.  The OEM side of the business represents Sierra Wireless’s cash cow, with most of its revenue coming from companies such as Cisco. Being associated directly with the routing does not lend itself to awareness; as to the use case, Alternate Access, Disaster Recovery, and specific applications all blend into the packets.
