I myself wrote about the technology just a few weeks back, talking mostly about the situation in Lagos, Nigeria - where two companies have raised more than $120 million to expand their e-commerce business in the region. As I previously wrote, this plan will involve the use of delivery drones - similar to what Amazon's CEO, Jeff Bezos, is proposing in the States. Tech expert Monty Munford says Lagos will see these devices "sooner than we think... and probably a lot sooner than the cities in the West." Cities, maybe. But right now, there's a strong push to bring drones to America's heartland... According to the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, doing so could add as much as $82 billion to the U.S. economy. My colleague Marc Lichtenfeld believes getting in on this movement could keep individual investors profiting for decades. To illustrate his point, he's created the following video.
