This thing called life

hey Guitarist,

WOW... I feel ALIVE
this morning.

I just got back from
breakfast... which
just ended a 5-day
juice fast for me.

It was a tough week
because when you're
not eating, you have
a lot less energy,
and I struggled with
the feeling that I'm
not being productive.

But, I can see what a
great investment it is
in my health and energy.

Anyway, I snuck out of
the house because I didn't
want to wake my wife and
I wanted to eat.

Upon arriving home, and
going in the backway, I
was struck by a sense of
peace and inspiration.

I stopped and savored the
moment for 5 minutes...
sat down on the concrete
step on the back of my
building, and enjoyed
the cool, calm breeze,
the sunshine and the trees,
and just soaked in life.

I reflected on the fact
that I'm now 40, recalled
the faded memories of being
outside when I was 4 or 5,
and thought "i'm at the halfway
point, more or less"...tried
not to think of my own personal
details, and "how is my life going",
and instead just enjoyed the
gift that is a human life.

I am one of those people that
probably spends a little too
much time trying to build a
good life, and not enough time
actually enjoying it.  Maybe
that will change as I get older
and wiser.

Anyway, I'm happy to share these
thoughts with you today.

I also want to give you some
guitar stuff as per usual :)
