| | | | | | | | | | Do you want to improve customer care metrics? A good place to start might be customer history, according to a new survey from [24]7. A whopping 70 percent of respondents stated that customer service was impersonal and annoying because service providers seemed to forget prior conversations. Other interesting recently published research included an examination of green energy challenges from Juniper Research and a close look at connected car demand from Telefónica. Telefónica is on a roll, and not just in the research department. It's rapidly expanding its M2M partner network, and now boasts more than 250 partners, a number it hit six months ahead of schedule. The global CSP hopes to have similar success with Sinfonier, a collaborative security community for developers and researchers, which was announced this week. Rounding out the headlines, Millicom launched 4G in Bolivia, Alcatel-Lucent and Fujitsu joined AT&T's User Defined Cloud Network, Vodafone signed fiber sharing agreements with a couple competitors, and Big Switch released the first bare metal SDN switching fabric for data centers.
