Help Us Stop the War on Wolves
Dear Center Supporter,

It may still be summer, but plans are already heating up to hunt more than 900 wolves this winter just for sport.

We need your help to fight these wolf slaughters every way we can.

Wisconsin, Minnesota and Idaho have already announced their kill quotas for the coming season. Together they want to destroy 591 gray wolves. Three more states are preparing their own hunting quotas right now -- but judging by past years the total should top 900 this year.

Without you, these hunts will continue to grow.

It's even worse than the numbers suggest. In Minnesota, the kill quotas have been exceeded in the past two seasons. They may love their Timberwolves NBA team in the North Star State, but real wolves are in the crosshairs.

Using painful traps and dogs to snare their prey, hunters are breaking apart packs and orphaning pups. It's a nasty business.

Through our Predator Defense Fund, the Center for Biological Diversity is fighting for America's wolves.

And we win. Just last week, after a lawsuit by the Center and partners, the state of Idaho abandoned plans to hire a professional wolf killer this winter to go after packs in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness. The state's hired killer took out nine wolves last season, but this bloody performance won't be repeated. Wolves in the Frank Church are safe until at least Nov. 1, 2015.

This is the kind of difference your donation to our Predator Defense Fund will make. We hope you can support our work on behalf of these intelligent and social animals.

For the wild,
