Just 8 short months ago we launched the Advanced Options Adviser, and the idea was simple… look for a theme, identify companies impacted by the theme, then pick cheap options to profit from the theme.
It's a simple idea, but it's difficult to implement.
I've got to admit in the first 6 months we had some losing trades…
You see, trading stock options is an intense process, and little wins while great aren't what we're after. No, you see, we don't consider a trade a SUCCESS unless it goes up by at least 50%.
So I checked the data…
From February to July, our editor Gordon rolled out 39 different trade ideas. (That's a little more than 6 trades a month.)
And we had a few trades not do so well.
15 trades to be exact… 15 trades went up a little… but not the 50% profit we demand! (In full disclosure, 6 of the 15 trades did go up between 10% and 49%... but that's not good enough.)
Look, as I told the team crunching the numbers, everyone has a loss or two… and that's the bad news.
But what about the good news?
What about the big winners?
Well, this is where it gets really exciting. 24 of the 39 trades in Advanced Options Adviser went up in value by 50% or more…
And of those 24 successful trades… 16 of them… or more than 66% of them… went up triple digits!
That means you had 16 different chances to more than double your money. Now, in all fairness, not everyone sells their stock options at the exact peak… but if you got even close to the peak, you'd be banking some nice cash!
We kept digging into the details around these winning trades…
Of the big winners, the results were stunning: - 9 trades were up more than 100%
- 3 trades were up more than 200%
- 2 trades were up more than 300%
- And, 2 more trades broke above 400%
Think about this for a moment… If you'd invested $1,000 into each trade that tripled in value, you'd have made $51,350.
