| Hi Architecture for Humanity Supporter, Over the past year, we have taken great strides with our reconstruction efforts in the Philippines following the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan on November 8, 2013. In January and March, we headed to the region to meet with key stakeholders and trained more than 120 architects. In June, we announced the launch of our work with long-time partner Happy Hearts Fund on the reconstruction of Picas Elementary School. In August, we traveled back to the Philippines as part of a group of design and construction experts for post-disaster communities. Last month, our Typhoon Haiyan Recovery Program manager met with community members, architects and partners as design reconstruction begins. To mark the one-year anniversary, we are participating in GlobalGiving’s Haiyan Matching Campaign. All donations made to the program from the U.S. or from the U.K. will be matched 100% up to $1,000 (£600) per donor while funds remain. Typhoon Haiyan lasted hours, but the rebuilding of the communities affected will take years of support and resilient design. We thank you in advance for your generous support to rebuild communities most deeply affected by disaster. Sincerely, Architecture for Humanity Learn more about GlobalGiving's Haiyan matching campaign here (U.K. site here). | Architecture for Humanity, 26 O'Farrell Street, Suite 310, San Francisco, CA 94108 USA
