| Last Day to Triple Your Impact in the Fight Against Fracking in 2015! Donate by Midnight Tonight! Indiana,
Today is the last day to take advantage of the match from our generous donor, Ann from Virginia.
Ann has seen firsthand how fracking can impact families. Her nephew’s family had to flee their home in Texas after oil and gas drilling threatened their young son's health. She is working with us because no family should have to wonder if their children will get sick because of fracking. Ann is offering to match your gift to Food & Water Watch in order to triple your impact and protect more families from fracking — but the deadline is midnight tonight. Food & Water Watch has a proven track record in the fight against fracking and the tools to keep winning real victories. - Just this week, New York banned fracking! We stood with the people of New York for an outright ban on fracking, when most thought it was impossible to win. This victory is because of the years of education, mobilization and advocacy work done by Food & Water Watch as a co-founding member of New Yorkers Against Fracking, and the strong network of allies and grassroots activists in New York.
- We helped launch the national movement to ban fracking by being the first national organization to call for a ban and by refusing to accept weak and unsafe regulations. Now, more than 200 organizations stand with Americans Against Fracking, a network of groups fighting for a ban with a unified voice.
- Our comprehensive research¹ helps counteract the lies being spread by the oil and gas industry's PR machine and expose the truth about the very real impacts that fracking has on our drinking water and our health.
- We have staff in 16 states working to ban fracking across the country. So far, we've helped pass more than 440 measures to stop fracking locally.
- Thanks to the emails, calls and office visits from Food & Water Watch supporters, we helped stop efforts to ramp up exports of fracked gas abroad, which would increase fracking in communities across the country.
- Our policy staff worked with Congressmembers Pocan (WI-2) and Schakowsky (IL-9) to introduce a bill to ban fracking on public lands — the strongest piece of federal legislation against fracking to date.
Even with an emboldened oil and gas industry spending record-breaking money to influence politics, we have proven that we can win with the support of people like you.
But we have so much more work to do. Far too many communities and families are feeling the impacts of fracking, and many more are at risk if fracking is allowed to continue. That's why Ann is offering to match your gift. Donate today and your support will go three times as far to help more communities fight fracking in the coming year. Food & Water Watch doesn't accept corporate contributions, so it is especially important for us to take advantage of Ann's generous match. With your help, we can give more families a chance to live without fracking.
Will you donate $50.00 before midnight tonight to make sure we can work in as many communities as possible in 2015?
Thank you,
