Our troops don't ask for much

My name is Master Sgt. William Gibson, but everyone calls me Spanky.

After I lost my leg fighting in Iraq, the USO’s support reminded me that folks all around America had my back. I can’t describe how important that was to me.

I have you and the USO to thank for that. Now, I’m asking for your help.

Whether they’re on the frontlines or recovering from wounds, I can tell you from experience that the holidays are the hardest time for our troops to be away from their families.

But you can change that. The USO Wishbook gives grateful Americans the unique opportunity to support our men and women in uniform by selecting items the troops need and want most.
