Thank you

freepress.net

Dear Jason,

Longtime donors have promised to give Free Press $100,000 to help us fight for real Net Neutrality and stop the Comcast-Time Warner Cable merger — but only if we raise $100,000 by Dec. 31.

We've got nine days to go and we're more than halfway there. Are you with us? Great! Just click here to donate $5, $15, $35, $50, $100 or more — and help the fight for your rights to connect and communicate take a big step forward in 2015. Thank you!

Need more convincing? Here are our top five reasons to give to Free Press:

1. We're winning on Net Neutrality. We stopped the FCC from going forward with its plan to kill the open Internet, and the agency has had to go back to the drawing board. We won’t let up until the FCC protects Net Neutrality, no matter how long it takes.

2. There are mega-mergers to stop. The FCC will review both the Comcast-Time Warner Cable and AT&T-DIRECTV deals next year and additional disastrous deals are likely to crop up. Our opponents are powerful, wealthy and quite frankly ruthless, so it will take everything we’ve got to face them down.

3. Your privacy and free speech are still at risk. The mass government spying programs Edward Snowden exposed violate our civil rights and have chilled free expression online. Congress has so far failed to pass reforms, so we're all still vulnerable. Free Press will keep pushing for solutions that protect everyone's privacy and free speech rights and hold government accountable.

4. All of our wins happen with ZERO contributions from business, government or political parties (we don't take their money). That means every dollar you give will help us stand up to the likes of Comcast and Verizon and stay independent. Pretty great, right?

5. OK, we already said this but it bears repeating: We rely on dedicated members like you to keep our work going. We literally couldn't do any of this without you.

So please make your most generous gift today.

With tremendous thanks — from all of us at Free Press
