Special Feature on Epstein–Barr virus and Human Cancer


Last year marked the 50th anniversary of the discovery of EBV particles by Michael Anthony Epstein and Yvonne Barr. This special feature of Experimental & Molecular Medicine contains six review articles which provides an overview of the current understanding of Epstein–Barr virology and oncogenesis and of EBV-associated neoplasm. These articles cover EBV topics including latent genes, EBV-driven B-cell and Virus-Positive T/NK Cell Lymphoproliferative Disorders, virus-positive Gastric Adenocarcinoma, modeling EBV infection and Pathogenesis in new-generation humanized mice, and the therapeutic approach to EBV-associated LPDs. Experimental & Molecular Medicine would like to thank Dr Young-Hyeh Ko, guest editor of this special feature for making strenuous effort in planning and coordination of this special contents.
