| Cheapskates of the Day: Car Dealership Gets in Fight With Pizza Guy Over $7 Tip Posted: 15 Jan 2015 04:00 PM PST A pizza guy was forced to give back his $7 tip to a Massachusetts car dealership, and the Internet is furious. Jarrid Tansey of Palace Pizza was paid $50 for a bill of just over $42. He left, assuming the rest was his tip as no one had spoken up otherwise. But then he got another call asking him to return the extra cash, at which point the people at the dealership took all the money and started to harass him about it. “Out the door before I put my foot in your ass,” said one woman. They also tried to get the delivery guy fired by contacting his manager, who ultimately determined the dealership was the real problem, which they have had conflicts with in the past. Eventually the owner of the dealership and his son went to the pizza place to say they were sorry. But the apology was a day late and about 7 dollars too short, as the video had been leaked online and the Internet decided to get revenge on F&R Auto Sales in the most effective way possible: with some very interesting Yelp reviews. | Censorship of the Day: Sky News Cuts Off Woman for Showing Charlie Hebdo Cover Posted: 15 Jan 2015 03:30 PM PST By now you’ve probably seen the new Charlie Hebdo cover featuring the prophet Muhammad holding a sign that says “Je Suis Charlie.” It’s plastered all over the Internet at this point. The print issues sold out in Paris, and 300 copies are on their way to the United States this week. But a number of big media outlets still refuse to show it (ahem… The New York Times). In this video from a Sky News segment Wednesday, former Charlie Hebdo contributor Caroline Fourest expresses her outrage at such news organizations and begins to hold up a copy of the magazine. “I am very sad that journalists in the UK do not support us, that journalists in the UK betray what journalism is about by thinking that people are not grown-up enough to decide whether a drawing is offensive or not,” she said. But she isn’t able to finish her thought, as the cameras immediately cut back to the anchor, Dharshini David. “I do apologize for any of our viewers who may have been offended,” she says.
