Major government investment in Pyramids to meet demands of cultural tourism "with proper marketing and promotion" as European company Prism wins twenty year contract for the Giza sound and light show development.

The contract includes the construction of restaurants and shops in the area and is projected to bring minimum profits of US$10million per year to both Prism and the Egyptian Ministry of Investment.

Construction is expected to take 10 months with the first show taking place in late December 2015 with expectations of more than 10 million tourists interested in cultural tourism the new production will help increase revenues for Egypt's tourism sector. Ashraf Salman, the Egyptian Minister for Investment said that Egypt's major tourist attractions require proper marketing and promotion and this was one of the deciding factors in awarding the contract to a global company rather than a local provider.

Encouraging Auto Sector Figures

Car Sales have increased by 40 per cent over the last four years with Egypt's automotive industry is seeing a boom with the number of cars being sold during 2014 reaching 295,000 compared to 260,000 sales in 2010.

Agreements with the EU which will bring custom tariffs on imported European cars to zero by 2019 along with infrastructure improvements are leading to the increase in sales.
