As the investment world awaits the release of the latest U.S. employment data, and while Jordan continues to bomb ISIS strongholds in retaliation for the killing of one of its military pilots in a horrible manner, the metals complex is trading in a calm and steady fashion..... Late morning European trading shows Silver at $17.31, up 3 cents......Gold is $1.00 higher at $1265......Palladium remains unchanged at $798.00......Platinum sits at 1256.00 up $4.00 per ounce..... Meanwhile Crude oil remains higher in a guarded fashion with traders keeping a vigilant eye on the Middle East,looking for signs of military escalation from any front.....Keep in mind that Russian/Ukranian aggression lurks in the background.....Last on Crude $52.11 up $1.63....A few days ago Wall Street was crying tears for the Energy Industry.....Let's see how long it takes for a shift in prospective moving back to the poor consumer who is battling rising gasoline prices..... On the currency front; the Euro is down about 4/10ths of a cent against the U.S. Dollar.....Wall Street whispers are calling for solid employment numbers today....One of the official estimates call for 235,000 total public and private new jobs....This compared to December's 252,000....The overall rate of unemployment is expected to be steady at a suspicious 5.6%.....I say suspicious because of the way in which the Commerce Department measures people coming and going from the labor force.....We are supposedly very very close to an all-time low on the number of people in the labor force....In other words the disenfranchised people who have supposedly stopped looking for work do not count in the unemployment tally....Who decides what that number is????? In stock market activity, Asia ended the final trading day of the week in mixed fashion....Europe is marginally lower ahead of the U.S. jobs report.......In New York the Dow is being called to open 16 points higher.....However; the data will hit the news wires a full hour ahead of stock trading.....That's it.....Have a good morning.....I'll be back in the afternoon with a final Wrap Up.......
