Music From Geographer, Folk Family Revival, Brian Dunne and More!

San Francisco's Geographer has been releasing spacey synth-pop for several years now. In anticipation of its new album Ghost Modern, it played a sold-out show at the El Rey Theatre on January 17th, 2015. It is offering a free download of selections from this show as well as a sneak peek into its new album with the track "Need." Ghost Modern is out March 24th on Roll Call Records. Armed with a sound that mixes the rootsy stomp of the Southern states with the trippy swoon of the West Coast, Folk Family Revival make music for rock clubs and rodeos, dive bars and honky-tonks, or campfires and cantinas. A throwback to a time when Southern rock and psychedelic music dominated the airwaves, it may be best described as a psychedelic folk-country rock and roll band, but they're not wild about labeling their sound. They'd rather let the music do the talking.
