| Hi Jason, Rep. Marsha Blackburn is pushing new legislation in Congress that would undo everything the FCC just did to protect Net Neutrality. The bill already has 31 co-sponsors — and all but two have received money from the very companies trying to kill the open Internet.1 In a word: Gross. Let's stop this bill in its tracks. The bill is called the Internet Freedom Act, but (shocker!) it would actually destroy Internet freedom. Its champion, Rep. Blackburn, is a longtime opponent of Net Neutrality who has received nearly $262,000 in donations from companies like Comcast, AT&T and Verizon. We can't let Internet service providers write our laws. Let's stop Team Cable. Tell Representative William Clay to stay off this bill. We knew it would come to this in Congress. In fact, these folks have scheduled five (FIVE!) hearings to debate everything from the process the FCC undertook to the agency’s budget for implementing the rules. Our win at the FCC was historic. Now we must defend it from attacks like this one. Thanks for all that you do— Candace, Mary Alice and the rest of the Free Press Action Fund team P.S. The companies underwriting bills like Blackburn's have cash to burn. Please donate $10 (or more!) to help us fight back. Thank you! 1.
