| Good afternoon Andrew,
Metals ended the trading day mixed with nominal change.....Silver ended with a loss of 2 cents to $15.84....Gold edged up by $3.00 to $1168.00 per ounce....Platinum is $825.00 up $5.00.....Platinum sits at $1151.00 off $9.00....
The Euro gave back a good portion of the day's gains giving metal traders an excuse to step to the sidelines....Remember the U.S. economic calendar was idle today, and the geo-political front was quiet except for President Obama deciding to invoke sanctions against Oil rich Venezuela...That was met with a big yawn by metals, but got a bounce from Crude....
Crude Oil spurted by 54 cents per barrel on the news...Last trade $50.50 .....
On the stock front; The Dow is up 159 points on favorable news from General Motors and soon to be a Dow component Apple Computers ........That's it...Have a good afternoon.. |
