Bobolink Update April 24, 2015  The piggies and chickens are helping us to till the garden! They are fenced in separate areas, digging, eating bugs, and preparing the soil for herbs, tomatoes, potatoes, and more! (And yes, they get leftover breads in their whey.) Thanks to a more efficient production method, we can now reduce the price of our 100% grass-fed cultured butter to $8.50 per 8 oz log! Same delicious product, it enhances everything it touches! Try some on Rustic Loaf or Flax Armadillo...bread and butter perfected!
Meats
We are pleased to have installed a walk-in freezer, which is allowing us to manage our meat inventory oh-so-much-better! While re-organizing, we located some lovely beef liver, as well as more pork roasts and (ta-da) pig heads. These items are now available for pre-order, and we will be bringing them to Tucker Square & Fulton Stall Market this weekend. The liver is conveniently packaged in half pound portions, and is sweet and delicious, perfect for a quick sear in a pan with some onions. We also still have ground beef, veal, and pork available online and at the farm store. We will be bringing some open stock meats to the market at Tucker Square and Fulton Stall Market only. If you'd like, you can pre-order meat to be brought to other markets. We plan to harvest more veal and beef in June. If you're at the farm store this weekend, you may also be interested in trying the chicken that we have brought in from Oasis at Bird-in-Hand. These birds were free-ranged and fed minimal grain. No soy, no gmo's. And delicious.

Cheeses
The cheese report hasn't varied much, but it's pretty delicious news:
Cave-aged Cheddar - still exceptional, versatile, fabulous
Frolic - mild but not simple-minded, melts great
Blue Drumm XR - even folks who claim not to like blue are loving it
Jean-Louis - bold, buttery, yielding smooth texture, better and better with age
We have Schmearkase and Amish Blue at the farm store and Denville only.
