Bobolink Update: Matzoh, Return to NY Markets, Farm Open Easter Sunday

Bobolink Update April 1, 2015 The snow is nearly gone from our fields and woods, the grass is beginning to grow. The moms and their calves are feasting on hay and waiting for that golden moment when they go back out on pasture. The mud is not too bad this spring, but it is definitely muddy in the fields.  We are offering a shortened afternoon tour this Saturday and Easter Sunday, with a visit to the milking herd and calves, new piggies, bakery, tasting room, etc., but not the grand tour of the entire 185 acres. Reservations are necessary for the 2 PM tours-- please click here to reserve. We have plenty of ground suckled veal, ground pork, and some beautiful pork roasts available at the farm store.  We also have pastured chicken, parts only, from our Amish friends at Oasis at Bird-in-Hand. Matzoh Time! It's not too late to reserve your Emmer Matzoh.  We can accomodate special orders received by noon the day before you need to pick up (for example, by Thursday noon for a Friday pick up in NY).  We are also bringing plenty, if you don't have a chance to reserve, but we can't promise... Our matzot are made with Pennsylvania grown Emmer Flour, the same type of wheat that was grown in the Fertile Crescent in ancient days.  There is no rabbinical supervision involved, but we make the matzot in the prescribed 18 minutes, and they look pretty authentic!
