| The 29th annual Festival International de Louisiane will be held from April 22nd – 26th 2015. The music and arts Festival celebrates the cultural influences from the Acadiana region such as French, Spanish, Creole, and African. The event lasts five days and features over 100 performances by musicians and artists from around the world. This year’s performers include Grammy award winner Angelique Kidjo from Benin, Ukraine’s DakhaBrakha, Nomadic Massive from Quebec, Portland’s MarchFourth Marching Band, and Lafayette’s own GIVERS. Closing out the festival will include performances by Buckwheat’s World ft. Buckwheat Zydeco & special guests. Particularly exciting this year are the collaborations with various arts organizations for Scene des Jeunes, an area full of activities for the entire family, Southern Screen Film Festival for curated videos, and the Festival Pass, a way to elevate your experience with access to special areas like the Rooftop Lounge, on stage viewing and express drink lines.
