| Action star, comedian and now ... wedding officiant?! Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson surprised his friend � and big fan � comedian Nick Mundy with the wedding of a lifetime, shocking the unsuspecting groom by officiating the impromptu nuptials. Johnson, 43, joined forces with Screen Junkies (known for their hilarious Honest Trailers), where Mundy is a correspondent, to pull off the year's coolest wedding. Mundy believed he was interviewing and filming a bit with Johnson during the actor's San Andreas press junket, but instead was legally married to his fiance�, Dilara Karabas. After first meeting Johnson during what Screen Junkies dubbed the "worst interview ever" in 2013 for the movie Pain & Gain, the pair struck up an unlikely friendship. Johnson went on to request Mundy to interview him in later press junkets, and the new friends created several bits for Screen Junkies together, including a video where Mundy begged Johnson to be his best man. Mundy was caught off guard after being told Johnson had cancelled their interview, only to be ambushed by the actor into a beautiful wedding ceremony � several months ahead of the couple's actual date. "My first thought was, 'Oh s---, oh s---. I hope Dilara is cool with this,' " Mundy told The Hollywood Reporter. "The second one was, 'I have hat hair, I'm sweating and wearing American flag pants.' "My best man and writing partner threw my jacket on me, and the next thing I know, the Rock was walking me down the aisle and the music was starting and I signed the marriage license," Mundy said. "The whole thing was insane." |
