| Master the art of shopping, noshing, and just kicking back, at The Cottonwood Art Festival, this Saturday and Sunday at Cottonwood Park in Richardson. This free event is one of the country’s largest juried art shows, featuring more than 240 of the nation’s top artists and craftsmen. Meet the artists while you shop for museum-quality works ranging from paintings to wearable art. Bring your baby Botticellis to ArtStop, our award-winning, hands-on children’s area. Enjoy a wide variety of music in the Courtyard by the Lake including rock, country, jazz, and Texas Flood, the Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band, on Saturday, from 4:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. Discover a mouthwatering variety of artful bites including Cuban sandwiches, Cousins Maine lobster rolls, Jersey Mike's Subs (as seen on the Travel Channel) and wild game from Texas Pitstops, to name a few. Relax in the courtyard while sipping a variety of local craft beers and wine. Come early for Cottonwood’s “Mimosa Mornings” featuring mimosas, breakfast burritos and music from the courtyard stage. Cottonwood Art Festival, open Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more details, visit CottonwoodArtFestival.com. |
