This data can be turned into a wide variety of standard and custom reports. These reports can look at past network performance and can also predict future performance. The ability to archive and manipulate this data offers the Wi-Fi operator an enormous competitive advantage. This will manifest itself in a more rapid MTTR (mean time to repair), more rapid build-out of capacity in areas that will start to see capacity exhaust in the near future, the ability to provide location based services, and opportunities to track the kinds of applications running on the network.
