Early Access: Avoid These Stocks in 2016

Bret Jensen - Small Cap Gems Stocks are heading towards their worst year of profit growth since emerging from the financial crisis in 2009. This is causing the market to trade within a historically narrow range as equities digest second quarter earnings. From going through the earnings reports, I have concluded which sectors will be the biggest value traps for the foreseeable future and need to be avoided.

Not all sectors have been hit with these strong headwinds. There are still pockets of value and growth in this market that I am starting to overweight within my own portfolio. These stocks are experiencing favorable economic conditions and will see earnings growth in the teens and higher while other areas of the market are struggling to find growth.
