| Dear Friend, You’ve been with us at every critical moment taking action and contacting Congress to reauthorize and pass stronger child nutrition legislation. Your calls and emails have helped to focus and shape the debates on child hunger. You’re the reason we’ve progressed this far. We’re getting closer—but we need to push Congress to keep moving forward. That’s why we need you now more than ever to pledge to join our national call in day on Monday, October 26th. We hear that the Senate could be gearing up for action on their Child Nutrition bill in November. Only 18% of the 22 million children that rely on free or reduced price meals during the school year are getting meals in the summer. This is our opportunity to close that gap. It’s time to raise your voice and tell your Senators loud and clear: Get the bill done! Congress needs to step up! Now! It’s really that simple. We’ve had enough of the delays.
