Lewis -- Methane pollution is a big contributor to climate change. That's why President Obama announced the first ever federal standards for methane pollution earlier this summer. These new standards improve public health, and they're a key part of the President's comprehensive plan to fight against climate change. The EPA is collecting public comments on these standards now, and your voice can go a long way towards making sure they're as strong as possible. Join OFA supporters in submitting a comment in support of the new methane standards. As always, special interests and big polluters will be working hard to water down these standards, so we have to show strong support across the board for action that will help fight climate change. Over the past year, hundreds of thousands of OFA supporters have spoken up in support of carbon pollution standards for power plants, for standards to cut smog, and to protect clean drinking water. We're raising our voices and winning against climate change deniers and their polluter allies -- and it's working. In a few months, crucial international negotiations will take place in Paris to forge a global agreement on climate change, and actions like these are crucial to show momentum and American leadership. Speak out in support of action to fight climate change -- submit a comment to the EPA: https://my.barackobama.com/Support-Strong-Methane-Standards Thanks, Jack Jack Shapiro Director of Policy and Campaigns Organizing for Action | |
