Each piece of Dwo Wen Chen's botanical stoneware pottery is hand thrown or sculpted. Real leaves are then imprinted on to the clay while it's still in the moldable stage, and burn off during the first firing. He applies his own colored glazes to each piece of work before the second firing, which gives is a glossy surface that is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
